If you are just starting on your blog you should probably begin with an introductory course to blogging "Alice In Wonderland" by Lewis Caroll or "The Illiad" by Homer. Both are very fine introductory courses with "The Illiad" covering the International Blogging, Figure Blogging and Wooden Horse Construction which are advanced blogging topics.
Speaking of the advanced blogging there is an excellent book on that topic entitled "One Hundred Years of Blogging" written by a Latin American blogger Gabriel Garcia Marquez. The book is a Bloggers Bible explaining what blogging is, how to be a blogger, how to run a blog, how to make blog entries, how the timing of posts affects inbound and outbound linking, how to post the same thing but at a different time to get completly different comments, etc...
The book also clearly explains what happens when you stop blogging and how to deal with newly arriving bloggers with better blog systems. Basically the central theme of the book is that Timing is Everything when one is interested in becoming a serious blogger and what's going to happen to blogging when the secrets of blogging are finally revealed.
